For Liberal Democrats

Dear Lib Dem supporter

As you may know, there are no Liberal Democrat MPs in Bury. The recent elections in Bury prove it’s a two horse race – New Labour or local Conservatives.

I know that many Lib Dem supporters will never vote for any other Party when it comes to a Local Election and I understand that.

However, at national level, Liberal Democrat supporters can make the difference between Tony Blair and his Labour Government winning, or losing, seats.

The local Conservatives have no quarrel with the Liberal Democrats but we do want to see a better Government. Moving power away from the Whitehall and Downing Street and back to the communities here in Bury.

As you may know, I am a local Councillor in Bury South. I always do the best I can to represent people, whether they voted for me or for the Liberal Democrats or, indeed any other party. To me, it’s community first and party politics second.

In the last year, several leading Liberal Democrats have switched to us. At the next elections, I invite you to do the same.

Lend your vote to the local Conservative candidate and, between us, we can help to bring an end to this hopeless Labour Administration. A vote for the Lib Dems at that election will be a wasted vote and will help to keep Labour in office.
